What you get at the end of this
A navigator — a person, not software — reads this within one business day and comes back with up to three options that fit — OAT-friendly where you need it, free where it exists, each one labelled by how it's paid for. The introduction happens once, to the team you pick, and only after you say so. When the free public system is the better answer, that is the answer you get. Nothing is ever billed to you.
Where you stay in control
Every introduction waits for your yes. A single reply of STOP closes the file for good. Your details reach only the licensed providers you approved — never data brokers or advertisers — and are deleted when no longer needed. Should nothing genuinely suit you, we'll tell you plainly and point to the public route. And in an emergency we step aside: 988, any hour.
Why these questions?
The substance shapes the help
The addiction is one thing; the risks are chemical and specific. Opioids point toward OAT and overdose safety, benzos toward a medically guided taper, stimulants toward different programs entirely. Telling us which keeps the introduction relevant instead of generic.
The OAT question decides which programs fit
Being on methadone or Suboxone is not a strike against you — it's the clinical standard of care. But programs differ hard on medication policy, and finding out at intake is the worst way to learn it. We ask up front so nobody ever asks you to choose between a program and your prescription by surprise.
Funding decides the map
Every province funds withdrawal management, counselling, and OAT; private insurance and self-pay open faster or more intensive options. There's no wrong answer — only the honest map for your situation, including the free public routes when that's the right call.
What happens after you send it
A navigator reads your answers, confirms current availability with the strongest fit, and introduces you — with the consent you gave, to at most three licensed providers, who fund this service through flat marketing fees. You never pay us, and nothing moves without your say-so.
Not ready to talk to anyone yet?
That's normal. Take the private 2-minute self-check or read the first-72-hours guide — both are free, and neither asks for your name.
